Since 1914, HEROLD has been synonymous with mechanical engineering in Schwarzenbach/Saale. Today, we develop and manufacture durable automatic roll-cutting machines, automatic tube ring machines, and custom machines for customers in Germany and around the world.

Georg Herold GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1914 by Georg Herold. In its early years, the company focused on the construction of machinery and engines, as well as on a wide variety of repair work. From the late 1960s to the early 1970s, the company increasingly specialised in what is now its core product: the HEROLD automatic roll-cutting machine. Since then, we have been developing, manufacturing and optimising machines for products used in numerous industries and applications worldwide.

With over 50 years’ experience in the field of automatic roll-cutting machines, HEROLD stands for sophisticated, long-lasting machinery and practical solutions. We have been successfully supporting many of our customers for decades – with machines, spare parts, service and technical support. Due to steady growth and increasing space requirements, a new, spacious assembly hall was built in 2014. Today, the company is run by the fourth generation of the family. In addition to our tried-and-tested automatic roll-cutting machines, we have designed and built numerous custom machines to meet individual customer requirements over the decades. This experience makes us a strong partner for sophisticated technical solutions.

For us, the focus is on the customer, their product and the right technical solution. We do not develop and manufacture off-the-shelf solutions, but rather machines that are precisely tailored to the specific requirements. Thanks to our extensive range of machinery and a very high level of in-house production, we are able to respond flexibly, quickly and reliably. Sales, design, manufacturing and service are all handled in-house – directly at HEROLD.

Many systems have been in operation for decades and continue to be supported with spare parts and servicing.
